7 People Shot, 1 Fatally in Chicago Sunday Violence

At around 1:02AM this morning, on the 600 blk of E 103rd, A 39 year old male was walking on the sidewalk when a known female fired shots after an argument. The victim was transported to Christ by the CFD in critical condition with gsw’s to the back and chest. No one is in custody in this incident, and Area 2 Detectives are investigating.

CPD responded to another person shot call in the 500 Blk of W. Division st. at 1:53AM where a 27 year old female was inside of an apartment with several people when a shot was fired by a known male. The victim was transported to N/W by the CFD in fair condition with a gsw to the right thigh. There is no one in custody and Area Three detectives are investigating. Detectives say the incident may be domestic-related.

At around 1:54AM, CPD units in the 002nd District responded to a call of a person shot. An 11 year old male was in the living room with an 8 and 12 year old when a shot was fired. The victim nor the other individuals would give any details on the incident. The 11 year old victim was transported to Comers in fair condition by the CFD with a gsw to the right thigh. It appears that the 8 year old accidentally discharged the handgun striking the victim. There is no one in custody and Area-1 detectives are investigating.

3:53AM 1200 Blk S. Lawndale - 51 year old male sitting on parked vehicle when unknown male offender approached on foot, fired shots. Victim transported to Mt. Sinai by CFD in good condition with a gsw to left arm. No one in custody, A/4 detectives assigned.

4000 Blk S. Wilcox - 4:33AM: Female, 21, gunshot wound to knee. Victim was transported to Stroger, good condition. No further at this time. Area Two Detectives are investigating.

4800 block of S. Bishop - 4:40AM, a male, 29, multiple gunshot wounds to body. Male was standing on sidewalk when unknown vehicle pulled up,fired shots. Vehicle fled. No one in custody. Victim transported to Stroger, serious condition. A/1 Detectives investigating.

5:20AM - 6200 block of S. Calumet, a male, 30, showed up at St. Bernard Hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg. The victim was outside when he hard shots and felt pain. No one is in custody. Area Detectives are investigating.

8:43AM - 600 block of S. Springfield, Male, John Doe, sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the body. The victim was transported To Stroger, pronounced. No one in custody. No further at this moment. A/4 Homicide Detectives investigating.
