West Humboldt Park Double Homicide Victims Identified

On 15 Sept 2021, at around 1:48PM, the Homicide Detectives of the Chicago Police Department Area-4 Detective Division responded to a double homicide scene in Chicago's West Humboldt Park at the corner of Division & Pulaski at DJ's Gyros.

Though this case is still under investigation, what we know so far is that the two men, now identified as offender Marcus J. Williams, 38, of the 800 block of N. Mozart, and victim Claudell H. Tribble, 44, of the 1100 block N. Keystone, somehow managed to cross paths with each other when Williams brandished a gun and fired several rounds, hitting Tribble in the torso several times. Tribble, before losing consciousness, managed to brandish a knife and stabbed Williams fatally.

Tribble was transported to Stroger Hospital where he was pronounced deceased a short time later.
