Chicago Police Special Investigations Unit Seeks Offender in Agg Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault of Victim Under 9 Years-Old


This is a Special Investigations Unit Agg. Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault of a Child investigation.

Investigation Summary: 

On Thursday, July 22nd, 2021, at or around 3:45AM, field unit 0523 of the 005th District Bureau of Patrol was notified via OEMC Zone-9 of an Aggravated Criminal Sexual Assault of a Minor. Information stated the father saw the offender was last seen driving a white Dodge Intrepid, and offender was seen walking towards Cottage Grove wearing a black hat, white shirt, blue jeans, and black shoes carrying an orange bottle, per Zone-9. 

The Chicago Fire Department transported the 7 year-old victim to Comer Children's Hospital where she was examined and treated by appropriate medical staff trained in Criminal Sexual Assault evidence preservation. 

Forensic Services were notified and all evidence from the hospital and the scene were inventoried. See case investigation evidence logs. 

R/Ds were notified by the Sgt. of the Special Investigations Unit Command upon notification by Beat 0523. R/Ds relocated from SIU to Comer Children's Hospital and interviewed Beat 0523, the father of the victim, CFD transporting medics, E.R. personnel, and the victim. 

Victim-sensitive interview was scheduled and conducted at CCAC with a forensic interviewer and the Cook County State's Atty Felony Review Unit witnessing forensic interview along with R/Ds. See ERI and Detective Case Supplemental reports for details.

Investigation revealed that the male offender forcibly entered the victim's home through her bedroom window by pushing an air-conditioner out of the window. The offender then committed an aggravated criminal sexual assault, and was discovered by the victim's father. Upon discovery by the father, the offender fled into the alley of 102nd street between Forest and Prarie. Offender is further described as being approx. six feet tall with heavy muscular build and medium-dark complexion.
